Today, Cloudflare turns 16. We couldn't have reached this milestone without you! To celebrate Birthday Week, we're doing what we do best: shipping tools to help build a better Internet for human creators and AI agents alike.
To kick things off, our founders, Matthew Prince and Michelle Zatlyn, have published their annual letter reflecting on our mission, the explosion of AI agent traffic, and the road ahead. Head over to read the entire founders' letter to dive into our vision.

Hey Mahmoud,
One thing I’ve noticed with website projects: the easiest thing to measure can become the thing everyone starts designing for.
More conversions.
More clicks.
More time on page.
Fewer exits.
Those can all be useful signals.
But they aren’t necessarily the outcome.
A website can improve against the dashboard while becoming less useful to the person using it.
The metric was supposed to be a proxy
Usually, there was a real user outcome underneath the number.
Maybe the visitor needed to:
Understand which service was right for them
Find an answer quickly
Decide whether they were a good fit
Choose the right next step
Then we picked a metric that might tell us whether that was happening.
